SURFACES
All surfaces inside and out are covered with high-pressure
laminate applied with a rigid glue line. That means each piece is easy to clean
and maintain. CONSTRUCTION Our bedside cabinet
is assembled using a combination of two fastening techniques. The first technique
doweling yields a finished product with an unseen fastener and offers
a smooth, easily cleaned interior surface. The second technique is to attach the
top to the doweled-together cabinet using mechanical fasteners. The top is thus
easily removed so that galley railings can be repaired or replaced, should they
ever become damaged. We feel that this combination assembly technique offers a
superior unit with the security of doweling, a sold back to prevent racking, and
the flexibility to have a portion or all of the top changed should need arise.
EDGEBANDING Inland has chosen two unique edge treatments
for the design of our acute care products. The first is post-forming, a technique
using heat and special equipment to form the high-pressure laminate around a bullnose
edge, resulting in a complete wrap. The entire top of the cabinet is thus wrapped
with laminate to seal out moisture and offer an enhanced impact resistance. The
other is edgebanding, wherein 3mm-thick PVC, custom-colored to our specifications,
is applied using high-temperature hot-melt adhesive and is then radiused to form
a uniform edge. This edge treatment is superior to both wood with lacquer topcoat
and high-pressure laminate in fish durability and impact resistance.
DRAWERS Our molded plastic drawers provide ease of cleaning,
superior strength, and uniformity. Should a drawer become damaged, it is easily
replaced by simply removing the drawer front and attaching it to another uniform
box. VENTING The bedside cabinet is vented
in both its base and back to ensure proper airflow. This prevents any moisture
from remaining in the interior of the cabinet. HARDWARE
Door hinges can be a powder-coated institutional type or a concealed European
type. Metal bases are powder-coated and can accommodate either a stemmed caster
or a foot, whichever a customer requires. Drawer pulls are of continuous aluminum
and are powder-coated and mounted without exposed fasteners. WARRANTY
We offer a ten-year parts and workmanship warranty on all our furniture
