FURNITURE FEATURES AND BENEFITS
NOTE: The style of furniture shown on this page is
Series 100 Signature, our regular Signature series
modified to meet birthing room furniture requirements.
CONSTRUCTION - High-pressure
laminate on all exposed surfaces with 48-lb. Density,
industrial grade particle board with fine face particles
and backing sheet to form a balanced panel. Panels
to be laminated using a white rigid glue line. Furniture
shall be assembled using the angle boring method,
which incorporates a pre-drilled hole at 7 angle
along with a pocket to allow screw and screwdriver
access to the hole. This method of fastening guarantees
tight joints (leaving no gap) of all the parts being
assembled. A major advantage of this method is the
ability to remove and replace parts as necessary.
DRAWERS - To include dovetail
construction (four each, English style) with bottom
dadoed into side with white glue line. Standard
drawer material is 7/16 MDF printed lacquer
top coat; bottom is 1/8 hard board with melamine
top.
EDGEBANDING - Edges to be
banded with hardwood bullnose of either ash or alder.
Our stain is laboratory matched to our laminates.
Our top coat is a two-part catalyzed varnish. The
lacquer is five times harder than standard bar
top lacquer. Door and drawer fronts are edgebanded
with high-pressure laminate using state-of-the-art
equipment and high-temperature adhesives (optional
thick PVC edgebanding available).
HARDWARE - Door hinges are
heavy-duty, institutional type, which require no
maintenance or adjustment. Drawer guides are side-mount,
steel ball-bearing type with full extension feature
(100 lb. Typical).
WARRANTY - We offer a one-year
parts and workmanship warranty on all our furniture.
CHOICE OF FINISHES - A selection
of surfaces, woodgrains, solid colors, or patterns
from WilsonArt or Formica is available.
